Two women from northeast Nebraska are taking long bike rides for a cause this summer.
Christina Schroeder of Crofton, and Megan Goeden of Hartington are part of a team riding from Baltimore across the country.
Schroeder says they have set up their route from coast to coast…..

They are taking part in the “4K for Cancer” ride, where students travel long distances to raise money and awareness for cancer treatment and prevention.
Schroeder says it will take some time to get across the country….

Schroeder says she was inspired by “Team Jack” and their efforts for the fight against cancer….

She says her goal is to raise about fifteen thousand dollars. They dipped their bike tires in Baltimore harbor last week.
