Senators Kevin Cramer and Roger Marshall of North Dakota and Kansas have introduced the 30 by 30 termination Act. The measure is aimed at blocking the Biden administration’s 30 by 30 plan that seeks to conserve 30 percent of land and water by 2030. North Dakota Farm Bureau President Daryl Lies says his group supports the bill as it addresses government overreach seeking to control land.
He says the Termination Act bill is a good start in protecting private property rights but more needs to be done.
Lies says one important component of the Termination Act bill is that it protects multiple uses of land such as grazing.
A companion measure is being carried in the House by Representative Lauren Boebert of Colorado.
