The 2018 South Dakota Legislative session is now complete and South Dakota Corn Grower Association members are pleased with two major ag victories this session. Legislative and Marketing Director Teddi Mueller says the compromise kept in place for non meandered waters is a big win for private property rights for farmers and ranchers.

She says another major win for Corn Growers and all of agriculture as well as the entire state is the funding support given for the new Precision Ag Building at South Dakota State University.

Mueller says the third major victory was the fact there weren’t any anti ag measures brought before legislators this session.

Mueller says all of the state’s ag groups worked well with lawmakers this session in order to get needed measures passed.
