President Trump recently released his massive tax reform package, but how does it compare to the tax plan the House Ways and Means Committee has been working on? South Dakota Congresswoman Kristi Noem, who serves on that committee, says the principles of the two are quite similar.
She says the biggest hurdle is the President needs to find a mechanism for getting his tax plan budget neutral, so it can pass in the House.
Noem says both tax plans have many components that are friendly to agriculture and will also grow the economy.
One difference with the House committee plan is they have explored a border adjustment tax, while the President seems more eager to put on import tariffs.
