Nebraska lawmakers have been unable to agree on rules for the current legislative session, and have been operating with a temporary agreement since the session began early last month.
District 40 Senator Tyson Larson of O’Neill says the dispute is over the cloture rule….

Cloture is when Senators agree to end debate, and move to a vote.

While a filibuster can be used to protect a minority position, Larson says it is being abused…..

Larson says they have the outlines of an agreement coming together…..

Larsn says the temporary rules have been extended to the fiftieth legislative day, or March 20th.
