Backers of the Medicaid expansion bill in the Nebraska legislature were unable to get enough votes to break a filibuster last week. The expansion was a compromise effort to extend health care coverage to fifty four thousand low income people.

Larson says even though the bill did not come up for a direct vote, he doesn’t think the result would have been different…
