No decision yet from the Nebraska ACLU on filing a lawsuit to halt proceedings toward the first execution in Nebraska in 20 years.

ACLU Executive Director Danielle Conrad does question the timing of the proposal to use four drugs to execute Jose Sandoval by lethal injection. . .

The Department of Correctional Services has disclosed the drugs it plans to use. The Attorney General can request an execution date from the state Supreme Court in a little less than 60 days.

Conrad says the ACLU is weighing its options.

Sandoval was convicted of leading the deadly Norfolk bank robbery of 2002 that killed five people.
