Consumer confidence shows virtually no change in the latest University of Nebraska-Lincoln monthly survey.
Bureau of Business Research director Eric Thompson says the August figure slipped just a fraction, but July and August were still the highest levels for the year.
Thompson says consumer confidence remains slightly negative, while business expectations are positive.
Thompson says these results indicate that Nebraska should continue to grow into the first part of next year.
He says lower commodity prices are dragging down rural areas more than urban areas of the state.
