Iowa Democrats at their party’s national convention in Philadelphia have been gathering to eat together each morning this week — but a pork product that’s widely available at home isn’t on the breakfast buffet, so they have no bacon.

Iowa Democratic Party chairwoman Andy McGuire addressed the issue Tuesday morning.

 

McGuire’s getting support for her budgeting decision that will save the state party 24-hundred dollars in food expenses this week.

 

Democratic delegates from Wisconsin, Montana and Alaska have been eating breakfast together in a huge hotel ballroom next door — to Iowa’s gathering space — and on Tuesday a massive bowl of sausage links was on their buffet line.
