Jack Nicklaus will hit the links in Minnesota this summer.

The sport’s all-time leader with 18 titles in the four major golf tournaments, Nicklaus will take part in the Greats of Golf Challenge. That’s the special event during 3M Championship weekend at the TPC Twin Cities course in Blaine. Tournament officials said Tuesday that Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player will headline the three groups that tee off after the regular participants in a friendly competition on the second day of the annual senior tour stop in the north metro area.

Nicklaus hasn’t played on the Champions Tour in nearly a decade, but he keeps a consistent presence around the game.

The 3M Championship will be held this year from Aug. 1-3.
