National Farmers Union members want President Trump to keep the United States’ commitment to global climate action. They’ve also launched a petition calling on Congress to include opportunities to enhance climate resiliency and mitigate climate change in the next farm bill. NFU Vice President of Public Policy Rob Larew says there’ s no doubt climate change is happening and farmers have to deal with it.

He says there needs to be policy approved that helps farmers battle the effects of climate change.

And Larew says Congress and the Administration must not ignore this phenomenon or its impact.

Larew says farmers need to have a role in helping solve climate change and can actually help mitigate its effects.
