National Farmers Union leaders have written to the EPA administrator asking him to follow through immediately on the President’s promise to allow the use of E15 year-round. NFU Biofuels Advisor Anne Steckel says the administration has promised this for seven months and it’s time to get going so the fuel can be offered this summer.

She says while time is running short on getting the waiver lifted, the EPA has the ability to move ahead with a shortened rule making process to make it happen.

Steckel says E15 not only is good for the environment but also provides many benefits for farmers who need it.

Steckel says her group believes that by allowing E15, it allows the country to move ahead towards use of higher ethanol blends in the future like E30.
