The National Farmers Union is surveying producers to better find out how the Right to Repair issue is impacting their operations. South Dakota Farmers Union President Doug Sombke says it’s an easy survey to fill out and doesn’t take very long to do.

He says the questions on the survey are very basic.

Sombke says when producers aren’t allowed to repair their own equipment it can stop their day to day operations.

Sombke says Farmers Union is pushing for a law that allows farmers to make their own repairs if they so choose and avoid the delays and exorbitant costs that go with not having that option.

Recently the Federal Trade Commission voted unanimously to ramp up law enforcement against repair restrictions and President Joe Biden issued an Executive Order to promote competition in the American economy.
