Now that the U.S. Senate has confirmed Jewel Bronaugh as Deputy Agriculture Secretary she’ll be able to help Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack in pushing forward the President’s Climate agenda and one which benefits agriculture. That’s according to National Farmers Union President Rob Larew.

He says now that there’s more details out on the President’s America the Beautiful or 30 by 30 plan for addressing climate change farmers and ranchers can breathe a sigh of relief it’s no attack on taking away their property.

Larew says it’s positive the administration has included advancement of conservation programs in their focus and as long as they leave mandates out it’ll benefit agriculture.

Larew says it’s also positive the President’s plan calls for ranching to be maintained on public and private lands.
