National Farmers Union members are pleased the House failed to pass the American Health Care Act, the replacement for Obamacare. However, NFU’s Vice President of Public Policy Rob Larew says they’re not opposed to having both parties work out a compromise on health care.

He says there are components of the Affordable Care Act that can be tweaked to possibly strike a compromise, which would be positive.

Larew says their goal with any legislation is getting better access to health care, especially in rural areas.

Larew says they also oppose a cap placed on Medicaid which would negatively impact rural Americans.
