National Farmers Union members are holding their national convention virtually this week. Nebraska Farmers Union President John Hansen says their policy debate is concentrating on four Special Orders of Business including Covid 19 Rebuilding the Rural Economy, Climate Change, Competition in the Livestock Industry and expanding biofuels use and development.

He says they intend to work with President Biden on his climate change goals and include agriculture’s involvement.

Hansen says NFU will also be striving for solutions to the market concentration problem that he says is gripping agriculture.

More than 500 people have been involved in the convention which wraps up later today.
