A pair of former U.S. Ag Secretaries are endorsing the Dow DuPont merger. Mike Johanns of Nebraska who served under the George W. Bush administration and Dan Glickman of Kansas who served in the Bill Clinton administration both support the deal. National Farmers Union President Roger Johnson is disappointed with their position.

He says the Dow DuPont and other ag mergers being proposed will lead to increased costs and fewer choices for farmers.

Johnson says NFU will continue opposing the Dow DuPont merger and will weigh in on it with the U.S. Justice Department.

Johnson says he’s also concerned about the Bayer Monsanto and Syngenta ChemChina mergers.
