Addressing depressed milk prices and energy independence are policy priorities for National Farmer Organization members for 2016 following their annual meeting last week. NFO Ag Policy Analyst Gene Paul says they’re calling for a whole new federal dairy pricing system.
Paul says their members are also concerned about America’s energy independence with Congress recently voting to lift the ban on U.S. crude oil exports.
He says they’re also calling on Congress to vote down the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement due to the ever-growing trade deficit and currency manipulation concerns.
