NFL and MSFA Team up for Large Scale Event Recycling

The NFL and Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority (MSFA) are teaming up try and set a new standard for recycling at large-scale events like the Super Bowl. MSFA spokeswoman Jennifer Hathaway says it’s part of a “zero waste strategy” and the goal is to hit 90-percent recycling

 

There will be an expected 40 tons of stadium waste created during the Super Bowl. Officials are calling on fans and stadium workers to recycle bottles and cans and compost food waste during the game.
