A name has been selected for the soon to be under construction early childhood education center in Yankton.

Melanie Ryken, Principal of Webster Elementary, chaired the committee that selected the name and reported to the school board this week…..

Ryken said they narrowed the list of names…..

Ryken said the name they selected came from an elementary teacher….

The school board will hold a special meeting later this month to review bids for the school. It’s hoped the new facility for Pre-K, Junior-K and Kindergarten students can open in the fall of 2024.
