The Sioux Falls School District will be led by the current Superintendent of the Kearney (NE) School District.
Brian Maher has been chosen as the successor to Pam Homan, who is retiring.

Maher says the job and the city is very attractive.

Maher, who has been at the Kearney district for eight years, says they have made considerable physical progress.

Maher says they have also focused on student achievement.

The Kearney district has about fifty four hundred students, while Sioux Falls has over twenty three thousand.

Maher starts in Sioux Falls on July first.
