AARP South Dakota has a new state director. Erik Gaikowski returns to take over for Sarah Jennings. She has been promoted to be regional director of a nine state region for AARP.
Gaikowski says Jennings was an out front leader…..
Gaikowski, who had been with the American Cancer Society, says he wants to continue the issue focus that they have developed over the past few years….
AARP officials took a tour of the entire state a few years ago. Gaikowski says he wants to continue that type of outreach….
He says legislative action on elder abuse this year met one of their ongoing goals.
