The South Dakota NRCS has appointed Oregon native, Tony Sunseri as the new State Conservationist. Sunseri has been an Assistant State Conservationist in Northern California for the past few years with previous experience working in Hawaii, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. Sunseri discussed his diverse background in conservation.

He says that his goal along with the Department is to offer accessibility of programs to all producers across the state and to work with urban communities as well.

Sunseri also noted that if you are interested in implementing conservation programs into your operation you should reach out to your local NRCS agent.
