The South Dakota Board of Education has developed and is expected to adopt new high school graduation requirements later this summer.
The new standards will resemble college courses, with the possibility of majors, or double majors. There will be three graduation endorsements available; Advanced, Advanced Career, and Advanced Honors.
Yankton Superintendent Wayne Kindle says the tracks will allow students to narrow down their post-secondary interests………

Kindle says each track offers good class choices…….

Kindle says they are ready to move to the new tracks this fall…..

The Department of Education is taking public comment on the proposal through July twelfth. The Board will decide at their meeting July sixteenth.
