A new scholarship at South Dakota State University now has a name sponsor. First Bank & Trust of Brookings is committing a half million dollars to the scholarship.

SDSU President Barry Dunn says the scholarship is focused on high school students…

Dunn says the scholarship could be a big jump start to higher education….

First Bank & Trust President and Chief Operating Officer Kevin Tetzlaff says this fits in with their historic support of SDSU..

Tetzlaff says this opens the higher education door to many more students..

The financial aid from the bank will pay the students share of the college credit courses.
