New leadership has been set for most of the committees of the 2017 South Dakota legislature.
The Chairman of the Senate Education Committee will be freshman Senator Jim Bolin of Canton. He previously served four terms in the House from District 16.
Bolin says he doesn’t expect the same focus on education in this session….
Bolin says there will be a number of issues that will be debated….
Bolin says he expects a lot of discussion about the funding formula and rural schools…..
Bolin taught for a number of years before retiring.
