New SD HSC Administrator Working on Staff Shortages

A chronic shortage of workers at the Human Services Center in Yankton is being addressed. Reports have indicated that some of the problems with patients and staff are related to understaffing.
Troy Jones, the Administrator at HSC, says they compete for workers in a pretty tight market…..

Jones says there is a shortage of medical professionals across the country…..

Jones says they have been able to find the psychiatrists they need…..

Jones joined the HSC staff in mid-May. He came to South Dakota from New Mexico.
