A Nebraska family says a new savings plan will help them pay the expenses associated with their 9-year-old daughter who is disabled.
Brandon Verzal of Lincoln says he found out about how expensive the care could be shortly after his daughter, Alexis, suffered shaken baby syndrome at a daycare in Texas

Verzal says the family moved back to Nebraska where his daughter received treatment at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln.
Verzal says the newly created Enable Savings Plan will help him save money to pay for Alexis’ expenses

The state Treasurer is the trustee of the Enable Savings Plan. It is managed by First National Bank of Omaha. It officially launches June 30th.
