Past Minnesota Corn Grower’s Association President Brian Thalmann has been elected to the National Corn Grower’s Board of Directors. He begins his new duties in October, the start of NCGA’s fiscal year. Thalmann says his passion is ethanol and he wants to help move forward demand for corn. He says they were successful in advancing renewable fuels in Minnesota and he’d like to take those successes and try them on the national level.

He says NCGA leaders need to look at diversifying our market for ethanol.

Thalmann says it’s also important to expand and diversify export markets for America’s renewable fuels.

Thalmann says renewable fuels also benefit the environment and making advancements in climate change should include not only benefitting the environment but also incentivizing farmers to help achieve that.
