A law now in effect will allow people with drug felonies on their records to be able to access the “Temporary Assistance to Needy Families” program.

Senator Reynold Nesiba of Sioux Falls was the prime sponsor of the bill….

Nesiba says Governor Kristi Noem also supported the bill….

The legislature lifted the ban on drug felons getting food stamps in 2011.
