Efforts are underway to organize a state-wide hay, forage, and grasslands association.  Heading up the initiative is South Dakota State University Forage Specialist, Sara Baudner.  She says a meeting has been scheduled to create the new association will take place during the Sioux Falls Farm Show on Thursday, January 26th.  Baudner says the initial organization efforts began a year ago.  She says the organization wants to include all aspects of the forage industry.  The SDSU forage specialist says the new organization wants to offer additional educational opportunities to its members, and she explains the mission of the new organizations.
