Sully County, South Dakota voters approved zoning changes that will allow Ring Neck Energy and Feed to move ahead with their plans for an ethanol plant south of Onida. Ring Neck Energy CEO, Walt Wendland says they’ve now bought the land from Oahe Grain.

Wendland says they hope to start work on the project once the county gives them final approval.

He says they plan to begin their equity drive next summer.

Wendland and other ethanol plant supporters say this project will help the local economy and give farmers another market for their corn and milo.
