Former legislator and US House candidate Paula Hawks was elected Chair of the South Dakota Democratic Party at their central committee meeting last month.

Hawks succeeds Ann Tornberg who had been chair for the past four years.

Randy Seiler, former Attorney General candidate, was elected vice chair. He and Hawks take their new positions on May first.
