Technology is shrinking the size of a Nebraska state office.
The new Child Support Payment Center is opening tomorrow (Tues) in a smaller space.
State Treasurer Don Stenberg says there are also fewer employees, because more parents send funds electronically.
Stenberg says staffing needs have decreased as a result – from about 60 in 2002 to 20 employees now.
The new downtown Lincoln office is about three blocks from the former location.
The new location is close to the old one, but has 15-hundred fewer square feet of space.
