New Bill May Speed up Nebraska Road Construction Projects

Nebraska should be able to speed up road construction projects under a bill just signed into law.

State Transportation Director Kyle Schneweis  says legislation approved this year allows the state to enter into an agreement with federal transportation officials to complete the environmental reviews of projects. He says Texas has found the change cut the time to complete road and bridge projects in half. Schneweis says it typically takes two years to complete a major project. . .
