The siting of the Keystone XL pipeline in Nebraska now moves to the Public Service Commission. Trans Canada has officially filed their application for approval of the pipeline route from north central to south east Nebraska.

Jeff Pursley, PSC Executive Director, says they will have a fairly narrow focus…

Pursley says there will be a number of studies on the possible route…

He says the PSC can’t change the route, only approve or deny a permit as it now stands.

Pursley says this is new ground for the commission…

He says interested parties have thirty days to file comments, and will be able to appear later in person before the commission. Pursley says the schedule has not yet been set, but state law requires them to make a decision within seven months.
