The South Dakota State Fair Foundation is closer to their goal of raising $ 4.7 million for the new Nordby 4-H Exhibit Hall on the state fairgrounds in Huron. The foundation’s Kathryn Henning says a major donation was received this week from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Rail officials.

Henning says construction is expected to begin very soon on the Nordby Hall. She says they hope to open it for next year’s state fair.

Henning says anyone wanting more information or wanting to donate can go to their website at South Dakota State FairFoundation.com.
