The City of Yankton and the Federal Emergency Management Agency have been negotiating over updated flood maps.
Community and Economic Development Director Dave Mingo says they are down to fine details….

Mingo says there will be opportunities for public input as the maps are updated and released…..

Mingo says individual land owners will also be able to review and comment on the proposed changes…..

The focus has been on the floodway along Marne Creek and properties on the east side of town that could be impacted by a flood zone.
