Nebraska’s “Beyond School Bells” program is taking a closer look at its after-school offerings.
Network lead Jeff Cole says they want to enhance what students do, especially in rural communities.

Cole says they are working with University of Nebraska researchers on the improvement process.
Project evaluator Leslie Hawley says they are observing programs and helping organizers find ways to improve.

Hawley says each program they are evaluating is different, so there will be a variety of information available in the end.
