Nebraska’s Property Tax Credit Relief Fund Stretched Thin

Nebraska’s Property Tax Credit Relief Fund is being stretched a little thinner this year.
Property Tax Administrator Ruth Sorensen says it is 89-dollars 57-cents per 100-thousand dollars of valuation.

She says the credit last year was just over 94-dollars per 100-thousand dollars of valuation.

Sorensen says last December, yellow postcards went out to notify property owners.

Sorensen says this year’s credit is less, because the state’s total property value increased, and the property tax relief amount stayed the same.
