Nebraskans may want to consider getting their flu shot now. Cindy Ruma with the Visiting Nurse Association in Omaha says it is already rearing its ugly head.

Ruma says this year’s vaccine includes four strains. The flu mist is no longer available but Ruma says clinical trials are progress and it may return in the future.
Some believe you can get the flu from the vaccine. Ruma debunks that myth.

Health officials recommend everyone over the age of six months receive the vaccine.
