An effort is underway to have Nebraskans vote on a proposal to allow medical marijuana in Nebraska.
Senator Anna Wishart of Lincoln says she’s confident it will be supported by Nebraskans.
Wishart says they’re still hopeful a legislative proposal is passed first by lawmakers…
However, Wishart says she thinks the medical marijuana proposal has a better chance of being passed on the ballot than in the legislature.
Among opponents are Governor Pete Ricketts, Attorney General Doug Peterson and former Nebraska Huskers Coach and Congressman Tom Osborne.
