Those both for and against Medicaid expansion in Nebraska aired their views during a public hearing at the Capitol in Lincoln.

Chip Smith of Omaha doesn’t believe the estimates that expansion will extend Medicaid to 90-Thousand Nebraskans. . .

But, Kathy Ward, a volunteer for AARP Nebraska says the experience of the 33 states which have expanded Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act demonstrate improved health.

Ward also says those states have saved money on other health care costs.

Medicaid expansion appears as Initiative 427 on the November ballot.
