Hilary Maricle from Albion, Nebraska has been named to the American Farm Bureau’s new Promotion and Education committee. The panel was launched to fill an important role in bridging the gap between farmers and consumers. Maricle and her husband Brian have a sixth generation operation where they raise cattle, hogs and ewe lambs and grow corn and soybeans. She’s hoping their group will help coordinate efforts between various states to get their message out to consumers.
Maricle says their first committee meeting will be at their national convention next month.
Also named to the committee from the Northern Plains region were Melinda Groth of Houston, Minnesota and Val Wagner of Monango, North Dakota.
