The winter wheat crop in Nebraska is looking better than what’s been seen in Kansas, Oklahoma and parts of Texas. Nebraska Wheat Board Executive Director Royce Schaneman says there’s some spotty dryness in Nebraska but not near to the level seen further South.
Schaneman says Nebraska’s winter wheat is looking better than it did at the beginning of the recent Wheat Quality Council tour.
Schaneman says if they can get timely moisture and avoid temperature extremes they should be able to finish the crop in fairly good condition.
