Nebraska voters will decide in November whether or not to expand Medicaid coverage. The state already contributes about $3.5 billion and the federal government matches that amount for 170,000 Nebraskans Former Governor Dave Heineman says that money is used to help those truly in need.

Heineman says there are several issues that voters need to be aware of before checking yes or no.

Heineman says if voters say yes to the expansion that means less money for public schools, state colleges and universities and there will be no property or income tax relief.
