More than 900 items found in abandoned safe deposit boxes will be auctioned off beginning next week by the Nebraska Treasurer’s Office.
Treasurer Don Stenberg says it’s part of his office’s effort to return unclaimed property to its rightful owners. . .
Stenberg says the last online auction, held in 2012, resulted in 15-Thousand dollars in sales.
The appraised value of the 940 items in this auction is 56-Thousand dollars. . .
The auction begins at 10am Monday…Central Time. It will run through October 5th.
