The Nebraska Supreme Court this week ruled that oral arguments in landowners case against Trans Canada’s Keystone XL oil pipeline be moved to November. Omaha Attorney Dave Domina who represents the landowners says it gives them more time to present their case with the move to November and also extra time to air their views before the court.
He says it’s clear the High Court wants to hear as much evidence as it cans in the case before rendering any decision.
Domina says the recent decision by the Montana court that impacts Nebraska’s case says the federal government and Trans Canada must go back and redo the environmental impact assessment of the project.
Domina says the results of the environmental assessment will have a direct effect on the outcome of the Keystone XL project.
