A group representing local, state and federal enforcement agencies gathered in Omaha to outline a strategy on how to combat the human trafficking problem in the state. Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson says a multi-agency team is targeting the problem, those responsible and also to protect and help victims….
Peterson says the Nebraska Human Trafficking Task Force will provide training to the lodging industry to recognize potential victims and traffickers….
Statistics show most of the victims are female and between 12 to 14 years of age. Peterson is hoping to get full cooperation from hotels and motels across the state.
