Several Nebraska State Senators spent time in Whiteclay, and on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, talking about the issues created by alcohol sales from the small village to residents of the reservation.

Pansing Brooks says they are working on adding more coverage of the area by the Nebraska State Patrol.
She says it will take a longer term plan to make a difference…..
The stores in Whiteclay sell about four million cans of beer a year, mostly to residents of the reservation.
Pansing Brooks says the state has a process to address those sales.….
Pansing Brooks says she hopes to hold hearings this fall, and introduce bills in the 2017 Nebraska legislature to address the situation in Whiteclay.
